– Bedroom Tax, Ladywood, Birmingham

The tenant of a council flat in Ladywood, Birmingham looks at a letter asking for the weekly bedroom tax payment of £15.38 for an extra bedroom which would take him into debt. The tenant has been living in the flat for 11 years and the room is used for his visiting teenage daughter two nights a week who otherwise lives with her mother. Ladywood has the highest number of people in Birmingham effected by the bedroom tax.
