– Bedroom Tax, Highgate, Birmingham

Jacobs watching news on the increased usage of food banks on TV in his council flat in Highgate, Birmingham. He was asked to pay bedroom tax for one room, which would take him into debt. He moved into the flat to initially live with his brother in 1995 but his brother has moved on. Jacobs is 62 in September and until recently was on incapacity benefit, though this has been cut as he is supposed to be fit for work though he has heavy angina and arthritis and can hardly walk. He is supposed to bring up £15 bedroom tax per week.
